The Design

Koko Blaq  was designed as a luxurious and welcoming salon that reflects the warmth, creativity, and kinship of the owners. The vision was to create a timeless boutique salon where clients feel relaxed and cared for, while ensuring the space functions beautifully for a busy, high-performing business.

The salon needed to be more than just beautiful; it had to work beautifully too. Every design decision was guided by both aesthetics and function. The existing tenancy contained a significant amount of underutilised space, so the layout was completely reworked to create dedicated zones for reception, styling, wash stations, and the colour lab, each with a clear purpose and seamless flow between spaces.

The result is a calm, sophisticated, and future-focused salon that elevates the client experience while supporting a highly efficient workflow. Koko Blaq has become a destination salon, with a distinctive interior that strengthens the brand identity and supports the business’s ongoing success.
